The Vulcain watch brand in particular, though not widely known in today’s world, has a long history of colorful and unique pieces.? We’ve written about Vulcain’s given to Presidents of the United States, chronographs, and ‘perfect’ divers watches.

Today we bring you another in a long line of great looking vintage Vulcains: the Min-Stop.? Known as the ‘Parking Meter’ watch, due to its resemblance to a curb-side parking meter, this 1960‘s watch features a black dial with a white half-moon shaped sub-dial with 60 minute register.? Luminous hour markers and hands and a 1/5 seconds track along the outer edge of the dial give it a simple but well structured presence without looking cluttered.? A single pusher above the crown resets the counter.? The case has a great shape to it, and you just get this feeling it would look great on your wrist while driving a 60′s sports car.

And as if that weren’t enough for this Cold War era watch, it’s even signed ‘West Germany’ on the dial.? Now we’re not sure why a Swiss company would brand their dial with West Germany, but if that’s not a conversation starter we don’t know what is.
