A Vintage Breitling Without A Chronograph? They Do Exist, and They Look Damn Good Too

Breitling made some great chronographs in the 60s and 70s; the Navitimer , the Chronomat , the Top Time are all really superb watches.? What they didn’t make, or so we were led to believe, was simple non-chrono divers, or really, any watches that were NOT chronographs.? That is why the watch we’ve found today is so special. Coming from the late 1960s or early 1970s is a true Breitling divers watch.? It has large luminescent markers and large luminescent hands, the likes of which we’ve NEVER seen on a Breitling.? In fact, that hour hand is one of the coolest we’ve seen.? It has a Cyclops window over the date a la Rolex, but this one is placed under the crystal so the face of this watch is perfectly smooth.? This Breitling features a 17 jewel automatic movement and everything on the watch is completely original.? The seller claims that the only other vintage non-chrono diver from Breitling was sold by Antiquorum in 2002, and while we haven’t done the due diligence, we tend to believe them (Heirloom Gallery is a very reputable vintage shop in Singapore).? If you are interested in purchasing or inquiring more about this rare and very cool Breitling from the 60s or 70s that is NOT a chronograph, click here for more details .
