The Jaeger LeCoultre Amvox 2 Chronograph DBS: As James Bond As It Gets Without Being A Transponder

Even though we have immense respect for Omega, James Bond belongs in A) Rolex, and if not Rolex, then B) Jaeger LeCoultre.? After all, Jaeger has named a line of great looking chronograph afters Mr. Bond’s vehicle of choice and one of them even has the ability to lock and unlock the doors of the Aston DBS by simply pressing on the watch’s crystal.? If that isn’t James Bond, we don’t know what is

The Jaeger LeCoultre Amvox 2 Chronograph DBS: As James Bond As It Gets Without Being A Transponder Even though we have immense respect for Omega, James Bond belongs in A) Rolex, and if not Rolex, then B) Jaeger LeCoultre.? If that isn’t James Bond, we don’t know what is.

Today we’ve found not a DBS Transponder (the one capable of synching with the Aston) but rather a limited edition chronograph Amvox 2.? Taking cues from the Transponder (retail price ~$40,000), this watch’s chronograph is operated by pressing the face of the crystal, thus no pushers protruding from the case, and retail price for this current production chrono is less than half of that of the Transponder.? Today’s example, is selling for around half of the retail price so you are really getting a great deal on a rare and innovative chronograph from Jaeger LeCoultre.

We love the red accents on this black faced, semi-skeletonized watch, and really, it’s a watch that reminds us a lot of the vintage Heuers of the 1960s and 70s, as it is purely a racing timepiece and you can tell.? This Amvox 2 DBS Limited Edition chronograph is selling for $9450 and more information is available here.

And while we know this isn’t the Transponder, we thought we’d post a video of that watch working with the Aston Martin DBS anyways, just because it’s so cool.
