Just recently, Tag Heuer released the details of a completely “in-house” developed movement, called the Caliber 1887.? The thing is, many Tag aficionados don’t really believe it to be a totally new movement, in fact they think it is simply a modified (albeit heavily modified) movement coming from Seiko.? What has added fuel to the fire in this potential PR nightmare is that the CEO of Tag Heuer, JC Babin has admitted on the Heuer-enthusiast site Calibre11.com that the new Tag Heuer Caliber 1887 IS indeed based on a Seiko movement.?
